Data engineering work
- Architect and maintain three production Shiny dashboards supporting real-time financial conditions monitoring and policy analysis
- Engineered a data caching system serving about 10 productions
- Ingest and process financial market data from Bloomberg Terminal, FRED API, WRDS API, FAME, and other sources to support macro-financial research
- Build and manage data structures within production PostgreSQL databases containing more than 500 million rows, supporting table design, access permissions, validation, and output storage
- Piloted a server migration as an early adopter, helping to clear technical issues and create documentation to minimize downtime across the Division
- Serve as technical liaison with IT department for production troubleshooting, infrastructure maintenance and requests, security compliance coordination, and contingency testing
Research work
- Developing a multi-agent AI system to perform textual analysis of FOMC communications; the system processes 1,316 speeches using Python, PostgreSQL, and specialized agents for quote extraction, topic analysis, and automated report generation
- Maintain and revise the Stock Return Decomposition model in R and Stata; adapt data for related projects and analysis
